All Saints Design

Over ten years ago, Jonathan Taylor-Horne, owner of the multi-discipline, Exeter based, design agency decided he needed an accountant and so walked straight into the offices of Simpkins Edwards.

Jonathan met with partner of the firm Mary Jane Campbell and was delighted to hear Simpkins Edwards could help. Jonathan’s client pedigree is right up there, and with such strong branding expertise, it’s little wonder that All Saints Design were chosen to create Simpkins Edwards’ new corporate identity, which was launched just last year.

Ten years from first walking into Simpkins Edwards’ office, All Saints has grown from strength-to-strength, aided by advice from Mary Jane and her team. “Right from the very beginning, Simpkins Edwards has been there to help, no matter how big or small our need,” says Jonathan. “They advised is on becoming VAT registered and outlines the tax advantages of moving from being a limited partnership to a limited company. They handle our business and personal tax, advising on dividends and tax efficient remuneration strategy, and have given us invaluable guidance that’s helped grow our business.”

Simpkins Edwards helped Jonathan move to QuickBooks and has taken him from using a rudimentary spreadsheet now into a position where he has an instant snapshot of the financial health of the business. That then enables him to manage cash flow and to plan and invest more effectively, as well as knowing exactly where he is with his VAT.

“Thanks to Mary Jane and her team,” Jonathan adds, “we have a strategy in place that ensures we always have the funds to pay our corporation tax. We are tax efficient, and we don’t need to worry about our end of year tax returns. We trust them implicitly and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Through their expertise, and the knowledge that they are always there to help us no matter the nature of our query, we can focus on what we do best; helping businesses make the most of their branding and marketing materials.”
