South Devon-based Tolchards Drinks is a family owned business headed up by Jim Mardell and his two sons, Sean and Steve. In 2010, with a wealth of drinks industry experience behind him, Jim decided to realise his vision of creating a leading, independent wholesale drinks distribution company to supply the ‘on-trade’ with both alcoholic and soft drinks.

As the business grew, the management recognised the need to enlist the services of a Chartered Accountancy firm to help produce its annual accounts. The contract was put out to tender and Simpkins Edwards was appointed in 2011.


Today, Simpkins Edwards not only produces Tolchards annual accounts, it also conducts an audit for the business and has a growing strategic business advisory role, helping to guide the growth of the company tax efficiently.
