Mary Jane Campbell

Mary Jane is a member of our agricultural and rural business team, offering clients the benefit of hands-on experience within the industry alongside her professional knowledge.

Before becoming an accountant, Mary Jane studied Agriculture at Seale Hayne in Devon and then set up a farming business with her husband in 1988. A diversification into business administration lead her to a career in accountancy and she joined Simpkins Edwards in 1998. She has been a partner of the firm since 2002.

Her practical experience in the farming community enables her to add value when dealing with financial issues and farm accounts. She has a keen interest in bookkeeping and accountancy software and helping to make these tools work efficiently for business. Succession issues for family businesses and tax planning are areas where she specialises.

And another thing…

Mary Jane lives on a farm in South Devon, she is chairman of the International Teams Committee for British Carriage Driving,  and the training manager for young carriage drivers.
