New pop-up South Molton Livestock Market office

Simpkins Edwards has this week opened its third market office in Devon at The Amory Centre, close to South Molton Livestock Market.

Open each Thursday from 9am to 1pm, the office has been set up to offer a convenient service to the farming community on market day and to the wider rural community.

Partner at Simpkins Edwards’ Barnstaple office Jilly Watson, who herself lives on a smallholding in South Molton, will be available each week to provide advice on a range of tax issues affecting individuals, the farming community and rural businesses.  The office also provides a convenient drop off point for paperwork, files and records.

Commenting on the new Simpkins Edwards office Jilly said: “Farmers in particular are under huge time pressures, which makes it difficult to put time aside for other important matters such as tax affairs.  By bringing a pop up office to The Amory Centre on market day, we are providing a vital service that’s located in the right place at the right time.

“It also allows members of the wider business community to drop in to seek advice on a whole host of tax matters, whether they’re expanding their business interests, restructuring, diversifying, considering retiring or simply seeking advice on managing accounts and tax liabilities.”

Jilly added: “Having run market offices in both Exeter and Holsworthy for many years we know there’ll be huge demand for the service and we’re looking forward to seeing existing and new clients.”
