Alyson joined Simpkins Edwards in April 2020 as an Accounts Manager in the Business Services team.
Her focus on people is evident across everything she does – whether that's overseeing training and CPD, welcoming new trainees, or nurturing the connections between all five of the firm's offices. She leads both the General Office team in Exeter and the firm's payroll team, bringing the same care and attention to operational detail as she does to professional development. Alyson is a qualified chartered accountant and also supports a small portfolio of clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, with experience across bookkeeping, VAT, accounts, personal tax and corporation tax as well as chairing the firm’s social committee and being involved in the IT working party.
And another thing…
Alyson is on the committee for the Exeter branch AAT and treasurer for her local table tennis club. In her spare time, Alyson enjoys weekly park runs, hyrox competitions and walks on Dartmoor with her friends and family.
