Carolyn Born

Carolyn joined the firm in September 2021 as an Audit & Accounts Senior Manager. Carolyn became an audit qualified Chartered Accountant in 2004 whilst working at another practice based in Exeter. Roles and opportunities over the next 17 years took her around the south west region and further afield; advising clients, large and small, from sole traders to large corporates and those within the third sector. Carolyn has reviewed accounts, tax and audit files for many years as well as undertaking technical, training, office management and compliance duties for the firms she has worked for. She has also worked in industry. Carolyn became a FCA in 2014.

Carolyn works primarily with our largest corporate and charity clients, providing advice and support to them in areas of statutory accounts, corporation tax compliance, systems and controls monitoring and audit completion. She can also complete a personal tax return or charity independent examination if it’s needed.

And another thing…

Outside of work, Carolyn enjoys activities involving combustion engines and getting stuck into DIY and gardening projects. She also has several volunteering roles.
