Simpkins Edwards has joined Maritime UK South West (MUKSW) as a sponsor. MUKSW is a not-for-profit organisation that champions, help grow and connects the South West's thriving maritime and ocean economy.
MUKSW brings together businesses, universities, colleges, institutions, and experts from across the region with a shared connection to the seas and rivers of the South West. From offshore wind and marine autonomy to clean maritime technology and defence, the organisation plays a central role in shaping the future of one of the UK's most significant maritime clusters – working with government, Innovate UK and key industry partners to drive innovation, skills and economic growth.
Corporate Tax Partner, Michael Hesketh, will be heading up this sponsorship, having supported MUKSW in the past. Michael brings more than 20 years of UK tax compliance and advisory experience, with particular expertise in R&D tax credits and supporting entrepreneurial and owner-managed businesses through growth, investment and change. He works across our West Country offices and works with several clients in the maritime sector so is well placed to support businesses operating across the region and MUKSW.
